After a few months of contract based collaboration, I become employee of VIT AG, producer of Picturepark DAM Software.
Dedicated and ambitious team has huge experience with previous eight versions of Picturepark . It is the product recognised for adaptive metadata concept – flexible system for handling and connecting huge loads of data.
Whit new project(s) in the production, ambitions and expectations of whole company are higher then ever. Of course, same stands for market and customers.
It is first time for me to design UX for software that has so broad target area. Product will need to provide some highly sophisticated features, to be able to support all user personas.
Obviously, it is very long, potentially endless trip. So how to know that you are on right path? Key would be to focus only on worthy, really needed features. Try to avoid trends and features that are just “cool”.
Build firm foundations by assembling first version of product that contains only core functionalities. Use it as a starting point for all future initiatives – both product versions and new projects.
I fill very motivated to progress in new surroundings, that I found within new colleagues and new place to live. I believe that results will come accordingly.
