In February of 2015, Interaction Design Foundation Team (IDF) decided to start a process of complete redesign of their web platform.
Collection of lessons and literature on IDF platform is huge, with a lot of high quality material, but platform didn’t get some serious update on user experience or new features for long time. At that moment, platform was already 12 years old. It was necessary to start from a scratch, so it was a big decision to make.
What happened next?
Well, Mads Soegaard summoned production team of four developers and myself as UX designer, on island of Koh Ngai (Thailand), to set milestones for this ambitious project.
What did I learn there? Tropical island is the best place on Earth to start transferring ambitious ideas to real life products.
